Amid the long rainy season comes a brief break. Lovely March is a wonderful time, a season dedicated to all ladies to embrace the warmth of spring.
To send sincere festive blessings to its female employees, Kaien New Materials recently arranged a two-batch team-building trip to the seaside of Lianjiang, Fuzhou, Fujian. For these ladies who live in inland mountain areas and rarely get close to the ocean, this seaside journey was truly delightful and unforgettable.

We had worried that rain would ruin the trip, yet we were blessed with fine weather. The sea in Lianjiang is not a mainstream tourist resort. This little-known coastal land retains a peaceful and primitive charm, standing out with its unique beauty.

1 Qida Village
Qida is a time-honored fishing village with a thousand years of history, mainly engaged in the cultivation of abalones, kelp and other aquatic products. Endless aquaculture farms stretch across the nearshore, presenting a spectacular view and forming the most distinctive feature of this sea area.

Qiguan Summit is the highest point behind the village. The view from the top is utterly magical and breathtaking. In sight are rolling hills, rows of wind turbines, ancient village buildings in rich colors, marine farms scattered on the blue sea, remote islets and drifting boats. The sea and sky merge seamlessly without a clear dividing line, creating a scenery totally different from ordinary coasts.

The landscapes here are diverse and gorgeous beyond words.

This sea is filled with authentic local life, yet it also resembles a romantic and ethereal fairyland. No wonder it is hailed as "China’s Rio de Janeiro", for the resemblance is striking.

The ladies were constantly amazed and laughing joyfully. They posed for photos on the steep peaks, recording this wonderful encounter between people, mountains and sea and freezing this splendid moment forever. They took home precious photos as well as beautiful memories.
2 Gushi Village
The sea is the soul of this place. Every view here is unique, brilliant and eye-catching.

Nestled between mountains and sea, Gushi Village boasts dense pine forests on hills and surging waves beating against steep cliffs. The village retains an ancient and tranquil vibe, with stone houses well preserved in their original style. The village lanes are spotlessly clean, and the surrounding land is free of weeds, which reflects the villagers’ earnest and refined attitude towards life.

The cliffside café here is the most thrilling one I have ever seen. I believe no one will disagree. As for standing on this sheer cliff with roaring waves below to enjoy coffee, I definitely do not have the courage.

There is a boardwalk stretching out towards the sea, fitted with transparent glass railings. Standing here, you feel fully connected with the boundless ocean. It is a perfect blend of romance and breathtaking thrills.

3 Pingliuwei
Pingliuwei Geopark, merely 4.6 nautical miles away from the Matsu Islands, is a paradise for photography lovers. Massive reefs and gentle stony beaches are masterpieces carved by time and the tides.

Gazing at the distant islands, our thoughts drift to Taiwan. Sitting by the sea, sipping coffee and feeling the sea breeze, all worries are blown away.

Every decorative installation in the scenic area is exquisitely arranged, creating an ultimate romantic atmosphere of the sea. You do not need professional photography skills here. Every random shot turns out to be a stunning masterpiece.

4 Beijiaobi Geopark
The final stop is Beijiaobi Geopark, the place where the first ray of sunlight rises over Fuzhou.

Standing at the edge of the land, we face the endless ocean. We watch ships sailing to and fro, and waves endlessly lapping against the reefs. The scenery is dynamic, open and full of romance.

The sea here is pure and azure, making us reluctant to leave. We kept looking back, unwilling to take our eyes off the beautiful scenery, hoping to keep this view deep in our minds. There is a rich variety of dried seafood here, so everyone shopped enthusiastically to bring the taste of the sea back home.

The two-day trip involved long rides, yet the stunning sea views washed away all tiredness from travel and daily work. Everyone joked and laughed, making this journey extraordinary and strengthening mutual friendship. The company’s thoughtful kindness has left everyone with everlasting beautiful memories and heartfelt joy.
