With surging vitality and infinite vitality, from March 11 to 13, 2026, in the beautiful spring of Suichang, Zhejiang, the "2026 Forum on Innovative Development of Electrolytic Capacitors and Supercapacitor Materials" was grandly held, aiming to "promote industrial chain ecological collaboration and boost the innovative development of capacitors". The forum was hosted by China Electronic Components Association and co-organized by Capacitor Branch of China Electronic Components Association and Zhejiang Kaien New Materials Co., Ltd. Nearly 200 people including industry association leaders, university experts, scholars and enterprise representatives gathered to discuss the future of the industry.

01 Opening Speech

On the morning of March 12, the forum officially opened. Ms. Gu Qun, Executive Vice President of China Electronic Components Association and Member of the National Industrial Basic Expert Committee, delivered an opening speech.

She pointed out that the rapid development of AI, new energy, industrial automation and other fields has triggered a profound technological revolution, which has brought broader application scenarios and higher requirements for capacitors as basic electronic components. In the field of materials, the forum explores how to further connect the industrial chain, promote industry-university-research integration, accelerate the innovative development of high-end and advanced materials, and build a sound industrial chain system with independent intellectual property rights and independent controllability.

02 Welcome Speech

Mr. Liu Chengyue, Executive Director and General Manager of Zhejiang Kaien New Materials Co., Ltd., delivered a welcome speech on behalf of the host.

Mr. Liu mentioned that Kaien has been producing electrolytic paper since the early 1970s. Focusing on one product for decades, the company has continuously overcome difficulties and made breakthroughs, becoming the world's largest and the only enterprise in China capable of serialized production of electrolytic paper. Kaien has long been committed to quality improvement.

In recent years, to seize the development of emerging industries such as AI and automotive electronics, Kaien has accelerated its pace and continuously invested in R&D of new equipment and products, enhancing its development momentum. The company has built a national-level postdoctoral workstation, become a national-level "Little Giant" enterprise of specialized and sophisticated new technologies, and its scientific research projects have been selected as provincial-level key projects, making continuous breakthroughs in key technologies. Amid fierce global technological competition, Kaien shoulders the important task of industrial chain security and will work with the industry to build an industrial ecosystem and promote the industry to develop further.

03 Leader's Speech

Mr. Ai Lihua, Vice President of China Electronic Components Association, Chairman of Capacitor Branch, Chairman of Hunan Aihua Group Co., Ltd. delivered a speech.

He stated that after years of development, China's capacitor industry has a solid foundation and full confidence. He hoped that enterprises would aim high, grow into world-class enterprises, provide the best products globally and create their own materials. He also specially praised the thoughtful and high-quality conference services arranged by the organizer Kaien.

After the forum, participants visited Kaien on site. They walked into the newly completed exhibition hall, listened to Kaien's development story, and learned about its history, philosophy and achievements.

They also visited the company's newly put-into-production high-end electrolytic capacitor separator production line.
